Vision Board time!

I know they’re cheesey

Se que son queso, that can not be right. I have to look it up. Sé que son cursis. Yikes, I missed an accent mark and need to learn a new word (cursis, I will do that on my own time.)

Every time I’ve had the pleasure of reinventing my circumstances, there’s been some kind of collage, painting, or artsy visual representation I’d make to kinda encapsulate the way I feel when I believe it’s possible. Some folks call that magic.

Somewhere I have a digital file folder of a few years worth of digital computer screen backgrounds I used to make when I was working toward buying my own house back in 2017, but that’s another story for another day.

In my daily commitment to making sure that all my belongings are safely stowed into a storage unit on the day of departure (520 days away if my count is right), I’ve been committing to a little time each week sorting through my belongings and packing them up. I came across a stack of magazine clippings I remember collecting in 2019 because I knew I was ready for a change then, too.

Some of them still resonated with me, but others I kept flipping over… asking myself “which side of this ripped paper did I find valuable?” Who was that girl that sat at this very table looking for the spark in an issue of Seattle’s Chid Magazine? As much as I long to reconnect with her, I have to just focus on the future.

I was lucky that in the stack of magazines, there were tourist guides and a real estate magazine from Puerto Vallarta. It snowed nine inches overnight last night. Once again, I will not be leaving the house for several days but I’m taking Vitamin D and the house is super bright and sunny. There are plenty of indoor fitness activities I can do here to keep moving and I should be better at that.

Winter is for Working
Summer is for Skating

Snow Days are for vision boards, I guess. At least this one is.
